Basic Quiche
I don’t think quiche gets enough credit for being the well-balanced and simple breakfast treat that it is. You prep a few ingredients, add it all to your pie dish or crust, stick it in the oven, and 40 minutes or so later it is ready to be devoured.
Quiche is also one of my favorite items to prepare for Thanksgiving or Christmas morning. I can make it ahead of time if needed, or get it in the oven while still having plenty of time to open gifts with Andy while we wait for it to cook.

Quiche
1 ready-made pie crust
1 Tbs. olive oil
1/2 lb. ground sage sausage
1/4 diced onion
1/4 diced pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. sharp cheddar cheese
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees and ready your pie crust*. Set aside.
In a large skillet, heat up olive oil over medium-high heat and cook the sausage until no longer pink. Add in the onion, pepper and garlic and cook until the veggies are softened.
In a large bowl, whisk your eggs until smooth. Add in the milk with 1/4 c. water. Whisk in the seasonings.
Pour the sausage and veggies into the pie crust and top with your egg mixture. Sprinkle the cheese on top.
Bake in the oven for 35 - 40 minutes, or until the quiche is golden brown and the center is set.
*This just means to remove it from the freezer or any packaging.
